As an after-sales engineer at AMOR CNC, I’d like to share some straightforward maintenance tips for your oscillating knife cutting machine. Regular upkeep will help maintain cutting precision and extend your machine’s lifespan. Here’s a simple guide to keep your AMOR CNC machine in top shape.

Table of Contents

Choose an Optimal Environment

Place your machine in a well-ventilated, cool area. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can cause the table to warp over time and reduce the machine’s longevity.

Ensure Proper Lubrication of Rails and Racks

Check the horizontal and vertical guide rails regularly for lubrication. This keeps the rails moving smoothly and prevents wear.

Clean the Vacuum Table Surface

Regularly wipe down the machine’s work table with a cloth dampened in alcohol to keep the vacuum system’s air intake clear. Avoid pouring alcohol directly on the surface.

Inspect the Wiper Blades on the Guide Rails

Check that the rail wiper blades are functioning correctly. Replace them promptly if they show signs of wear or damage to prevent dust buildup.

Monitor the Knife Cutter Tips and Electrodes (if equipped)

For models equipped with various cutting tools, regularly inspect the cutter tips and belt. Replace them if they show any damage to maintain cutting quality.

Test Buttons and Switches

Regularly test all buttons and switches. Replace any that show signs of wear, and perform a comprehensive accuracy test to ensure the machine is cutting precisely.

Rinse the Table Surface After Use

After each job, rinse the work area with compressed air to remove debris, especially scrap. Be sure to dry it afterward to prevent moisture damage.

Return the Blade Head to the Start Position

At the end of the day, move the blade about 10 cm forward to ensure the limit switch resets correctly.

Prevent Rust on Unused Parts

If the machine will be unused for an extended period, apply a light layer of lithium grease to the blade, clamps, and any other moving parts. This will protect them from rust.

Daily Cleaning of the Bed and Guide Rails

Clean the machine bed, guide rails, and other surfaces daily to remove dust and debris. Shut off the air supply and power at the end of each day, and drain any remaining air from the hoses.

Regular Lubrication of the Slide Plate and Guide Rails

Clean and apply lubricant to the slide plate, guide rails, and transmission screw regularly. This keeps all moving parts running smoothly and prevents friction damage.

Tighten Clamps, Steel Belts, and Guide Wheels

Check the clamps, steel belts, and guide wheels for tightness. If any parts are loose, adjust them to maintain cutting precision.
